Welcome to the Fremen guild!

These help files pretty much speak for themselves. The skills you can already use are displayed in green when you type 'fhelp' or 'ghelp' while on the MUD, so make sure you read about them. Other than that, older members are eager to answer your questions at any time. Ideally, you should read all ghelp files, but here is a guide to get you started anyway. A similar guide is located on the main Fremen guild page.

First, 'unsheath crysknife', then 'wield' it. Then, set your reflex to drinkwater at 1000 hitpoints ('reflex 1000 drinkwater'). Also, make sure to set your attack mode to Rage ('setmode rage'), and keep an eye on it that it stays in Rage. Most likely, at one time, you will switch back to normal mode because you are out of adrenaline, but make sure to switch to Rage mode again, when adrenaline is back.

Quick reminder: 'drinkwater' is your healing skill. You use it as a reflex, but don't hesitate to use it outside of combat too, when needed. Also, 'sandstorm' is a skill you can use immediately, make use of that. Initially, it will fail a lot, but that will change when you upgrade your skill. Watch out for the dangers of sandstorm though.

When your enemy is dead, you can 'degland corpse' and 'distill corpse', to get some adrenaline and water back. When you get a chance to upgrade your skills (at Melia), the skills you should be upgrading first are dervish, crysknife and sandstorm.

The best way to earn gexp? Well, a good way to get it is to fight against smaller monsters in rage mode and use sandstorm to fight them all at once. Make sure you can handle them all at once, though. Other than that, just fight a lot and keep an eye on your mode. If it falls to normal, make sure you switch back.
Also remember that a waterrings is worth 100 solaris and that you should not quit the game with more than 10 million solaris.

*SKILLS*

There are 2 kinds of skills: the one shown when you type “skills” (skills: all the players from all the guilds have them. They are skills which involve weapons, defense and other features) and the ones shown when you type “check” (guild skills: only the Fremen have them). You will improve your skills by fighting (e.g. When you fight for a long time only with your crysknife you'll see a message “You've just improved crysknife”) or by training them with the masters (you can find these masters on Caladan-w n2w s 2w n etc.. and on Wallach-s e s w 2s e 2s w etc..). You can explore those areas, nothing can happen, just don't go too far west from Caladan Ap. The training rooms look pretty much alike-almost the

same scenery, same commands (cost, train), trainers …you'll find them. First time when you join Fremen, you are part of the Nomad Sietch. You improve your gskills s of the main room of the sietch by typing “improve <gskill>”. First you've gotta improve crysknife, sandstorm and dervish. Every guild has a secific weapon. Ours is the crysknife. This is why you train it both as a skill and a gskill.

*STATS*

These are those 6 things(str, con, qui, wis, int, dex) that you can advance when you are in the main room. Alway get them maxed before you raise a level. The ones that you use the most as a Fremen are Str, Dex and Qui. But anyway, you advance all of them. Type “cost” in the main room to see how much exp do you need to advance them or “levels” anywhere you are to see how much exp you need for the next levels.

*LEVELS* Advance levels when you are in the main room. When you'll get to lvl 20 you can chooe to be a playerkiller, which means you can fight with another player (doh!). You get more help about this by typing “help PK” and “help playerkiller”.

*GLEVELS* Advance a glvl when you are trained by another Fremen (it doesn't matter if he is bigger or smaller than you). The bigger glvl you got, the more benefits you have. Most of the gskills depend on the glvl you are. (type “fhelp commands”).

*EXP* Every mob has an amount of exp. When you kill it it you get its exp. Exp helps you improve gskills (this also costs solaris too), advance levels, advance stats, train skills. Kill as many mobs as you can. As a small fremen it's better to kill many small mobs at the time using sandstorm than a big one.

*GEXP*

It helps you advance glvls and make adjustments to your still-suit, but advancing glvls is the most important. You get gexp when you fight using your gskills.

e.g.If you fight using a shortblad and not using sandstorm, you will get a small amount of gexp, although you will train your shortblade skill. If you fight with your crys and use sandstorm you'll get a lot of gexp and train crysknife, and this sounds a lot better :). It's not necessary to train all your skills thou. You can use any weapon you wish even if you already got the

skill to 100%.

*COMMUNICATION*

Type: -say <message> to speak with the people who are in the same room with you. -tell <name> <message> or reply <message> to speak wth someone who is not in the same room with you but is logged on (pay attention! A tell or a reply costs about 2% CP) -tp <message>to speak with the Fremen from the Nomad Sietch -fremen <message> to speak with all the Fremen online -chat <message> to speak with everybody on the mud -allies <message> to speak with our allies -ptell <message> to speak on the party -tsay <message> to speak on the team You also have pose (type “help pose ”), that ball of flames thrown in the sky but you'll be able to use that when you'll be lvl 25. And this ends the “How to spam” chapter.

*DYING* If you die you lose all the money and eq you had on you and you wake up in a Ghola Center. Type help “ghlas” for more info.

*TIPS* -make aliases and triggers for your actions so you won't spend your time typing and typing and typing every time you kill, for example. -type this “set login_cmd fmove verybriefme, briefmon all, defense block, setmode rage” -when you log on always do these things:unsheath crysknife powerup. Make an alias for that if you wish. You can't add it unfortunately in the login_cmd. -you should have: reflex 1000 fmove drinkwater, setmode rage -also wimpy 50 (“help wimpy”) -after you kill mbs and you take their equipament (if they have ,you know, swords or anything) go to a shop and sell it. You'll get solaris. When the mob dies make a trigger to “degland corpse, distill corpse, take all”. Shops: Giedi Prime-2n e from ap Tleilax-4n 2e from ap Caladan-e n from ap Wallach-n w from ap Chapterhouse-n e from ap -you can party with other players (not only Fremen) to gain exp and team up with Atreides.

-always “consider” monsters before you attack them. -read the descriptions of the rooms and “read sign”, “look at sign” everytime you find one of those in a room. It gives you useful information. -avoid planet Salusa for the time. During the night crazy mobs can kill you even if you don't attack them first. Where can you find information about yourself? type “sc”, “gs”, “check”, “check skill”, “check still-suit”, “skills”,“finger <your name>”, “consult elders”, “foresee”

Whenever you have questions ask on fremen channel and someone will help you. Have fun :)
